All persons authorised by NTWC to operate under their licence must at all times comply with the principles and requirements of the Rehabilitation of Protected Fauna Policy, approved Codes of Practice and Guidelines and with any directives issued by an authorised officer.

NTWC Inc. member authorities issued under licence are also subject to the licence conditions imposed by National Parks & Wildlife Service (NPWS) under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, in particular (but not limited to):

7: Acquisition or transfer of all protected fauna must be reported within 7 days to an NTWC species coordinator.

8: Authority holders must permit the inspection, by an authorised officer, of all protected animals held under this licence and all facilities associated with their care.

9: If any member harms or hold a non-native (exotic) reptile, they are required to notify DPI invasive.species@dpi.nsw.gov.au or NPWS immediately and follow instructions given.

An authorised member will cease to hold Authorised status if, in the opinion of the NTWC Management Committee, there has been a breach or lack of compliance with the group's policies, or of the conditions attached to the Licence issued to this Association by NPWS.

Authorised Membership of NTWC also requires completion of approved training at least every two years.
